1. This Time Is Different. Release Inner Dieting Voice. Embrace Growth Mindset.

You have failed at dieting before for two reasons. First, you were instructed by society that you could ‘control’ what you ate using willpower alone.  This is false. Second, you blamed yourself when you ‘gave in’ and developed a Dieting Inner Voice that keeps you stuck. It’s time to forgive yourself and embrace eating as a skill you can and must learn. Now that you are doing things differently you can finally expect to succeed long-term.

This is the cycle you’re in. It’s called a Fixed Mindset. The key to overcome this negative cycle is having a growth mindset.

2. Habits > Willpower. You Habitually Binge Eat For Good Reasons. Do You Really Know Why? Know Your Emotional Needs.

We all have emotions. You must understand what emotional rewards you are getting out of binge eating. In order to understand emotional rewards, you must be able to feel and be aware of your emotions in your body and to manage these emotions.

3. Learn Your Body’s Language. Master Eating Skills. Hunger and Fullness Are Skills You Can Learn. You Can Learn To Trust Your Body If You Actually Listen To Your Body.

You have within you a glorious ability to be normal around food. How Do I Stop Overeating is a question where the answer is within you! Just to eat the right amount and no more. You have the birthright to enjoy food and have a peaceful relationship with food. But you must do two things. First you must your body has a language. You can learn this language just like you can a foreign language. So you can practice eating skills just like you would to become fluent in another language. You can understand what your body needs and learn to heal yourself.

Pleasant Hunger Versus Unpleasant Hunger
It’s not enough to just understand your emotions. You must also connect with your body to learn your body’s physical language. This means understanding your hunger and fullness levels.
Emotional Hunger Versus Physical Hunger
A key milestone is when you can identify the difference between your emotions and feelings of hunger. This is a skill you can learn (and it doesn’t take that long either).

4. Start Off With Flexible Meal Plan. No Calorie Counting. No Perfectionism. Realize Food Is Nourishment. You Need To Fuel Your Body. What Feels Good To You?

In beginning eating is like riding a bike. You are going to lean left and right before you find your balance. Now in the beginning we give you training wheels. Yet, we are gentle. We don’t screw the training wheels on too tightly. For nutrition this means in the beginning you have a flexible eating schedule. Here’s all you need to know: 3-4x per day. Eat every 3-5 hours. Just eat 2-3 food groups per meal. Eat unprocessed. That’s it, simple! This gives you some structure without becoming too complex. You’ll be amazed at how much your binge eating decreases with just this simple fix.

healthy fats to eat
Good fats as seen above are some foods you’ll need to try out mindfully instead of your usual disconnected eating. As you experience mindful eating and the effects of food on your body, you’ll naturally be drawn to eating healthier.

A huge part of eating is simply getting more than one macro nutrient on your plate.

5. Let Go Of Food Rules. Food Should Give You Zero Emotional Reaction No Matter What You Eat. You Are Free To Eat Anything! This Sounds Scary But You Will Be Safe

Unconditional Eating is totally safe as long as you are 1) eating a few meals a deal with balanced food groups and 2) taking better care of your emotional needs and 3) learning from your ‘How Do I Stop Overeating Mistakes’ with compassion. Trust me, you don’t have to worry. This Unconditional Eating is truly what will set you free! If you can promise to eat a few meals per day and take a few breaks during the day to pause, check-in with yourself, and take care of yourself you’ll be fine. The only other thing is speaking to yourself compassionately. You can do this!!!!!

What Whatever You Want Really Looks Like
We are afraid, but in reality we have nothing to be afraid of if we are feeling our emotions, feeling our hunger and fullness, eating a few times per day with a few macro-nutrients per meal. It’s simple!
